Erica is an experienced civil litigator with specialized knowledge in the areas of employment, professional liability, property damage, personal injury, breach of contract and condominium law. She has successfully represented a variety of clients ranging from global retail chains to small businesses to individuals.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Damian Christian Shammas, LLC in 2024 as Of Counsel, Erica practiced with a national insurance defense firm and a mid-size New Jersey firm. She completed a judicial clerkship in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division for the Honorable Harry G. Carroll, J.A.D. (Ret.).

Erica is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

In 2017, Erica earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, graduating cum laude. In 2014, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, graduating with a degree in Political Science.

In her spare time, Erica loves to cook and spend time with her son, husband and rescue dog. She also owns and operates a food start-up company, ComboJams.
